About Me

I want to become a hardworking and dedicated professional that knows balance. I want to be able to make time for my friends and family without feeling guilty that I am not working. I need to learn to limit my obligations and only take on a healthy amount of challenges. I need to be able to schedule time for myself, so that I can be the best I can in all areas of my life. I also need to recognize that my best is different every day. My energy and schedule will change frequently, and that is okay. 

I want to become a graduate student. I want to gain the skills necessary to assist and conduct research. I want to be able to present my work effectively and confidently. I need to be efficient in gathering evidence and data, analyzing such information, and communicating the results proficiently. I will continue in research until I meet these goals. I want to participate in internships and experiences in the future that will help to familiarize myself with the field I chose. I also intend to study abroad to gain knowledge of other areas and cultures, and to understand the world from a different perspective. I will plan ahead for the next few years, so I can make time for these experiences. 

I want to become a Clinical Psychologist and acquire skills for test administration and treatment. I will continue to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as communication and interpersonal skills. I will be administering tests to patients and coming up with treatment plans. Therefore, I will need to be able to communicate results and options to patients and their families in a way that is easy to understand. I am dedicated to making this goal a reality.
